Don't they smell so very good? And thanks for the tip on the microwave. I'll have to try it.

The variety I get are Orange. And I now have two of them growing in my yard for two years now. But still: no quinces!Juliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08337291320368324416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1516199892122090215.post-67449382246544108152013-11-14T13:15:20.673-05:002013-11-14T13:15:20.673-05:00I loved your previous recipes for quinces! Now, I get to smile every time I open a jar of jelly or taste the membrillo I made. (I used the microwave method and oven method. Microwaving is MUCH faster and gives quite good results.)

I think I need to plant my own quince tree. Do you know what variety of quince you got from the farm, or what kind(s) they grow? I'm in Madison, WI and our climate is fairly similar to yours.Nicolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03276995787173932700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1516199892122090215.post-60763105161725668382013-11-14T09:54:52.395-05:002013-11-14T09:54:52.395-05:00I know! I'm not sure why they get those black patches either…Juliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08337291320368324416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1516199892122090215.post-88865764325245527032013-11-13T13:53:48.904-05:002013-11-13T13:53:48.904-05:00I got my quinces already! I plan to eat those with a grilled ham steak later this winter. A couple were green and ended up getting soft with black spots rather than ripening properly.
